Experienced Procurement Officer at UNICANE Industries Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our team at Unicane Industries FZE.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials and components essential to our manufacturing operations. Fluency in Hausa language is required to effectively communicate with suppliers in our region.

Key Responsibilities
Sourcing and Procurement:

• Identify and develop relationships with suppliers of raw materials and components.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Supply Chain Management:

• Analyze market trends and supplier performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes.

Contract Management:

• Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

Inventory Management:

• Collaborate with production planning team to ensure adequate inventory levels.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock levels.

Communication:

• Communicate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and other departments.
• Ensure effective communication and issue resolution.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are an advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum 5-10years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proven track record of managing procurement processes.

Language:

• Fluency in Hausa language is essential.
• Proficiency in English is also required.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
