    Experienced Montessori / Early Years Teacher

    Job Description

    • Experienced Montessori/Early Years Teachers are responsible for nurturing young learners through child-centered, developmentally appropriate practices rooted in the Montessori philosophy.
    • They require specialized training, strong observational skills, and a passion for early childhood education.
    • Experienced Montessori / Early Years Teachers guide children aged 0–6 through structured yet flexible learning environments.
    • They foster independence, curiosity, and holistic development using Montessori materials and methods.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and maintain a child-centered learning environment using Montessori materials
    • Observe and assess individual development to tailor instruction and support
    • Facilitate hands-on activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth
    • Guide children in practical life skills, sensory exploration, language, and numeracy
    • Maintain classroom order and safety while encouraging independence
    • Communicate regularly with parents about progress and developmental milestones
    • Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary and thematic units
    • Document learning outcomes and maintain accurate records

    Requirements
    Education Requirements:

    • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
    • Montessori Certification from a recognized institution (e.g., AMI, AMS, MACTE-accredited)
    • Additional training in child psychology, special education, or inclusive practices is a plus

    Experience Requirements:

    • 2–5 years of teaching experience in a Montessori or Early Years setting
    • Proven track record of implementing Montessori curriculum effectively
    • Experience working with diverse learners and multicultural environments
    • Familiarity with assessment tools and developmental tracking systems

    Essential Skills:

    • Deep understanding of Montessori principles and early childhood development
    • Strong observational and documentation skills
    • Patience, empathy, and adaptability
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Classroom management and conflict resolution
    • Creativity in lesson planning and material presentation
    • Cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness.
