• As part of our strategic growth, we seek an experienced and highly skilled Company Lawyer to join our team and provide expert legal guidance and support to our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice and support on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s interests are well protected.
• Ensure the company complies with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, disputes, and negotiations.
• Manage intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents, to safeguard company assets.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential legal issues.
• Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities as needed.
• Provide training and updates to management and staff on legal and compliance-related topics.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) and admission to the Nigerian Bar Association (or relevant jurisdiction).
• Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in corporate law, preferably within a corporate or commercial law firm or as in-house counsel.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate governance, contract law, labor law, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
