    Experience Electrical Engineer

    Description

    • As part of our commitment to operational excellence, we are seeking a competent and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous operation of electrical systems and production equipment within our manufacturing facility.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
    • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on injection moulding machines, auxiliary equipment, and factory utilities.
    • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
    • Troubleshoot PLCs, motor control circuits, control panels, sensors, drives, and other industrial electrical systems.
    • Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reliability.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records, electrical drawings, and equipment documentation.
    • Collaborate with the production and maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
    • Support the installation and commissioning of new machines and equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety procedures, and good engineering practices.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • NYSC or discharge certificate
    • 3–5 years' relevant experience in a plastic manufacturing company.
    • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor controls, and automation.
    • Experience troubleshooting electrical faults on injection moulding machines and other production equipment is an added advantage.
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
    • Good communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
