A highly motivated Technical Assistant to the Group Managing Director (GMD) to provide technical support and assistance to the GMD on all technical matters related to the organizations operations.
The Technical Assistant will work closely with the GMD, executive team, and other stakeholders to ensure that the organizations technical strategy is effectively implemented and aligned with the overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support and assistance to the GMD on all technical matters related to the organizations operations.
Work with the GMD to ensure that his schedule of activities is fully coordinated and aligned to ensure optimal utilization of the GMD’s time and resources.
Prepare Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations, agendas, reports, special projects, and other documents on behalf of the GMD.
Manage executives’ calendars and set up meetings.
Screen and manages calls and correspondence
Organize complex calendars and schedules, resolving any scheduling issues.
Liaise with necessary parties in making travel and accommodation arrangements
Assist in the design, development, and implementation of new products, services, systems, and strategic plans of the company.
Conduct research and analysis to support the development of technical proposals and initiatives.
Develop and maintains technical databases and spreadsheets.
Assist in the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, and reports.
Collaborate with other departments, such as Business Development, R&D, engineering, and IT, to ensure that technical solutions are feasible and aligned with business objectives.
Participate in meetings with external partners and vendors to discuss technical solutions and opportunities.
Take minutes during meetings
Monitor industry trends and developments, and provide regular updates to the GMD and executive team.
Provide technical support for the organizations events, such as conferences, seminars, and webinars.
Attend meetings with or on behalf of the GMD and follow up on the raised issues/points of action from those meetings until they have been satisfactorily closed out.
Attend and contribute to meetings on behalf of GMD, reporting back and following up if required.
Evaluate, review, and interpret technical inquiries on contractors/vendors, and be able to provide recommendations to the GMD on both existing and potential contractors/vendors.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the GMD.
Requirements
At least 3-5 years of experience in an executive and/or technical assistant role.
Legal knowledge is a plus.
Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Strong technical knowledge and experience in areas such as product design, development, and implementation.
Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide sound technical advice to senior executives.
Willingness to learn and stay up to date with industry trends and developments.
