Review company documentation for completeness, content, and comprehension of the shipping contract.
Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
Coordinate Commercial proposal content with respective company departments.
Communicate with the client to clarify the scope and other contractual issues.
Coordinate pre-tender and post-tender discussions/clarification with clients/subcontractors etc.
Managing bids from vendors and contractors
Using bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysis
Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders
Attend briefing; Coordinate various internal/external meetings
Liaise with various departments in generating proposal content to determine shipping Rates and Generate Tender Cost
Timely submission of Tender
Attending contract negotiation meeting
Follow up regularly till the final decision by the client.
Compiling and recording actual costs
And any other duties as deemed necessary by line managers.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree/ HND in a relevant field of Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience in cost estimation.
Membership in a relevant engineering Professional Institution is an added advantage.
Ability to determine estimated costs
Good communication and team building skills – well able to lead and gain the respect of both own team members and 3rd parties (both internally and externally).
Ability to improvise/prioritize with little notice without losing attention to detail.
