    ESG Associate

    Role Description

    • This is a full-time on-site role for an ESG Associate, located in Lagos.
    • The ESG Associate will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental, social, and governance strategies and initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include conducting research, creating reports, engaging with stakeholders, monitoring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the ESG team in various projects.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline.
    • A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., GRI, SASB, CFA ESG, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor) is an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • 5–7 years of relevant experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or environmental management (preferably within infrastructure, transport, or energy sectors).
    • Experience in ESG reporting, data collection, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Exposure to ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems.
    • Familiarity with international ESG frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFC Performance Standards, UN SDGs).

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and research skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
    • Good understanding of environmental, social, and governance issues in emerging markets.
    • High attention to detail and commitment to compliance and reporting standards.
    • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ESG reporting tools.
