The Escort Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and secure transportation of company executives, assets, and high-value personnel. The role requires excellent driving skills, situational awareness, and adherence to safety protocols to mitigate security risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Safe Transportation: Drive designated personnel, executives, or assets to various locations while ensuring safety and security.
Escort Duties: Accompany convoys, VIPs, or company personnel to prevent security threats or potential risks.
Route Planning & Navigation: Plan and follow the safest and most efficient routes while being aware of alternative escape routes in case of emergencies.
Defensive Driving: Employ defensive driving techniques to mitigate risks and ensure swift response to any security concerns.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily inspections of the assigned vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition and report any faults promptly.
Security Compliance: Follow all company security policies, protocols, and local traffic regulations.
Incident Reporting: Immediately report any security breaches, unusual activities, or incidents encountered during trips.
Coordination with Security Team: Work closely with security personnel to enhance the safety of individuals being transported.
Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the identity, location, and movements of the personnel being escorted.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to act swiftly and appropriately in case of security threats, medical emergencies, or vehicle breakdowns.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years professional driving experience, preferably in security or escort driving.
Valid driver’s license and defensive driving certification is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of road safety laws, traffic regulations, and security protocols.
Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement is a plus.
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with alternative routes.
Physically fit and able to handle extended hours of driving when required.
Strong sense of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
