Job brief

We are seeking an enthusiastic English tutor to teach English lessons to a child at home. If you are an English lover and have the patience and tact to teach others, we would like to meet you.

Your goal will be to establish a welcoming learning atmosphere to achieve their academic objectives. You'll teach the child the fundamentals of reading, writing, and speaking English through various engaging and unique approaches. You'll keep track of their progress and provide relevant feedback by tracking their assignment and exam grades.

Responsibilities of an English Tutor

• Prepare lessons and coursework using fun worksheets.

• Assign intriguing exercises and homework.

• Effectively teach grammar to improve communication, grades and writing ability.

• Practice essay writing.

• Monitor student's progress and prove relevant feedback for improvement.

Requirements of an English Tutor

• Previous teaching experience in English in a primary school. 

• Understanding of grammar rules.

• Detailed knowledge of the national curriculum as well as the English language requirements.

• Outstanding organizational and communication abilities.

• A patient and tenacious character

• A BSc/BA in English Language or Literature is required; a master's degree is a plus.

Salary: 60k - 80k 

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos state
