English Teacher at IBBA 36 Global Concept

We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to students at the junior and senior secondary levels. This role requires a dynamic educator who can inspire a love for learning, develop strong communication and analytical skills in students, and contribute positively to our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English Language and Literature, following the national curriculum and school-specific schemes of work.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Prepare, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations to assess student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and behavior.
• Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the school’s academic programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-NYSC teaching experience in a reputable secondary school.
• Proven ability to effectively teach English Language and Literature at the secondary school level.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• A strong passion for education and a commitment to student success.
• Residency in or willingness to relocate to Maiduguri is required.
