English Language Teachers at Wellspring College

Wellspring College is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will inspire a love of language and literature in students while upholding the College's core values and ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English Language lessons in line with both the Nigerian and English (British) curricula
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support holistic student development
• Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and continuous professional development
• Maintain accurate records and meet administrative deadlines promptly

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English Education, or a related field (relevant teaching qualification preferred)
• Master's degree would be an added advantage 
• Minimum of 3–5 years' teaching experience in a standard secondary school
• Demonstrated ability to teach effectively within both Nigerian and English curricula
• Strong commitment to continuous professional improvement
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills
• Strong time management and organizational abilities
• Strong ability to deploy technology in the delivery of teaching and learning 
• Genuine alignment with Wellspring College's mission, values, and ethos
