Engineering Design and Project Support at Western Development Company Limited (WDCL)

Engineering Design Studies

• Engineering Studies such as Capacity Studies, Integrity Assessment, Facilities Design and Operating Envelopes, Facilities Debottlenecking, Power Management Studies etc.
• Conceptual Selection Studies: Select best concept for delivering top quartile value from the opportunity.
• Front End Engineering Design (FEED): Define the selected concept, and complete enough engineering detail (Basic Design & Engineering Package – BDEP) to price the work (i.e. provide the complete technical scope of work for bid document).
• Detailed Engineering Design (DED): Further define the BDEP with enough detail to proceed to execution with exceptions to vendor packages and specialized equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Extensive price surveys for both local and / or international bench marking.
• High Level cost estimate based on Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
• Procurement related activities including specification development, enquiries, evaluation and placement of Long Lead Orders.
• Construction, Operations Readiness & Assurance, commissioning and start-up input at design phase.
• Project and business support services including estimating, cost engineering, planning, quality management and related project services activities to support design works.
• Develop Contract Scope of Work, Technical Specifications and Material Take-Offs as may be required by the company for the purpose of issuing Invitations to Tender (ITT) to Engineering Design Contractors for Detailed Engineering Design or Fabrication and Installation/Construction Contractors or EPC Contractors as may be directed by the company.
• Implement training programmes to develop skills and competencies in FEED and DED.
• AutoCAD, 3-D Draughting and PDMS modelling of existing facilities, modification works and new designs.
• Real time 3-D image capture by laser scanning or other COMPANY accepted means of existing brownfield facilities.
• Minor modification design services on existing facilities.
• Provision of maintenance support for hardware and software in the Engineering Design Office.
• Archiving and management of existing SEPCIN standard design drawings and documents.
• Scanning & Reproduction Services (in various sizes) and Provision of routine administrative support to the Design Office.
• Provision of Data and Document Control services.

Salary
N200,000 - N450,000 monthly.
