Energy Audit Analyst at Rensource Energy

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Energy Audit Analyst to support the evaluation of energy use across client facilities and recommend solutions that improve efficiency and reduce carbon footprint. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in energy systems, audit processes, and data analysis, and be passionate about helping businesses transition to cleaner, more sustainable energy practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Energy Audits & Assessments

• Conduct on-site and remote energy audits for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
• Collect, measure, and analyze data on electricity, fuel, and thermal energy usage patterns.
• Assess building systems including HVAC, lighting, insulation, water heating, and machinery for energy performance.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Use tools such as Excel, audit software, and IoT data to evaluate consumption trends and inefficiencies.
• Develop detailed audit reports with actionable insights and technical recommendations.
• Calculate potential savings, ROI, and environmental benefits of proposed improvements.

Efficiency & Renewable Energy Solutions

• Recommend energy-saving measures (ESMs), demand-side management solutions, and renewable integration (e.g., solar PV, storage).
• Support the design of energy efficiency projects and liaise with engineers or vendors for solution validation.
• Contribute to feasibility studies and project proposals.

Client & Internal Collaboration

• Present findings and recommendations to clients in a clear, professional manner.
• Collaborate with the engineering, sales, and project execution teams to align audit insights with solution delivery.
• Support sustainability certifications and compliance processes.

Key Objectives:

• Deliver high-quality energy audits that uncover cost-effective savings opportunities.
• Drive the adoption of clean energy solutions based on audit insights.
• Support clients in achieving energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and sustainability goals.
• Ensure data-driven reporting and decision-making across energy assessments.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in energy auditing, energy efficiency consulting, or building performance analysis.
• Familiarity with tools such as data loggers(Fluke, Emonio), Excel, RETScreen, HOMER, EnergyPlus, or audit-specific software.
• Strong understanding of building systems, power systems, and energy-saving technologies.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.
