The Electrical Planner is responsible for assisting with the development of reliability-based maintenance strategy, based on preventive and predictive maintenance, to improve efficiency and productivity.
They prepare plans and provide technical specifications and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
Prepare all planned maintenance that have to be carried out by the Electrical Execution team, service companies or contractors
Work closely with inspectors and execution team
Gather information needed for planning work orders in the Lotus Notes Work Order System
Add relevant information to improve understanding
Define the scope of work
Develop detailed job plans including sequences, downtime, man-hours required
Develop tool list specific to the job
Provide parts list with reference numbers and exact location for every work order
Ensure all technical specifications and special instructions are provided on paper
Determine cost involved for parts and supplies
Inform section supervisor/engineer when a job is ready for scheduling
Establish and maintain system for proper storage of pre-works and pending work with supervisors and stores department
Work with Storeroom supervisor to update equipment parts catalogue, develop new lists, and tool lists
Review and update parts min-max
Improve and maintain equipment files and history with the draughtsman
Ensure timely delivery of spare parts ordered by working with purchasing officers and WAPCO tracker database
Ensure inventory and sources of spare parts are consistent with Lafarge standards, plant equipment reliability, and economic constraints
Ensure materials and parts conformity upon receipt
Supervise some jobs and contractors during annual plant shutdowns
Incorporate into the implementation and maintenance of an integrated management system in the plant.
Education
University Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
5 - 7 years of fieldwork experience in cement industry.
Required skills:
Knowledge of Health and Hazards storage rules and regulation
Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency (including good knowledge of PowerPoint)
Good knowledge SAP and SAP FC is a plus
Proficient in PPM systems both in theory and in practice.
