Qualification:

• Must possess at least a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering, H.ND or equivalent qualification

Experience:

• At least 1 - 3 years of industrial electric/electronic maintenance experience in the repair, inspection, testing, installation and/or maintenance of related electrical/electronic equipment Solar PV installation knowledge a plus

Typical work activities

Tasks are likely to include, but not limited to:

• Recognize safety hazards and follow safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
• Perform audits, design and electrical drawings.
• Read and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings; apply knowledge to daily tasks
• Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect; and install, remove and maintain inverters or other site equipment such as solar panels, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA or similar monitoring equipment.
• Complete written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed.
• Operate test equipment such as voltmeters, amp meters, high potential test equipment
• Work with mechanical and civil aspects of energy solutions
• Initiate, Innovate and recommend cutting edge ideas and technology for the company
• Supervise and train apprentice electricians to teach proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.

• Very attractive to include a commission on all sales made by the Electrical Engineer.
