    Electrical Engineer (Instrumentation & Control)

    • We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in AI and technical expertise in the oil and gas sector (upstream) and a range of related fields.
    • The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation and be able to contribute to cutting-edge projects that leverage machine learning, pattern recognition, and advanced electrical engineering practices and work in our Research and Development Unit to assist in designing and testing out various systems/tools for our organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components, ensuring their functionality and performance meet project requirements.
    • Integrate AI techniques such as machine learning and pattern recognition into electrical engineering projects to enhance product capabilities.
    • Develop, prototype, and program electronic circuits using Arduino and other microcontroller platforms.
    • Create and design printed circuit boards (PCBs) with industry-standard tools for a variety of applications.
    • Utilize AutoCAD for electrical schematics and detailed system designs to support project development.
    • Analyze and visualize data using Power BI to support project insights and decision-making processes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into broader systems.
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering, machine learning, and related technologies.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • 2.1 or 1st Class only with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
    • Proven experience with AI applications, including machine learning and pattern recognition.
    • Strong knowledge of Arduino programming and experience in designing and prototyping electronic circuits.
    • Proficiency in PCB design, with the ability to create and optimize PCB layouts.
    • Experience with AutoCAD for electrical system design and schematics.
    • Strong data analysis skills with experience using Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
    • Problem-solving mindset with a keen interest in innovative technologies.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Familiarity with other microcontroller platforms and hardware development tools.
    • Experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
    • Knowledge of IoT systems and their integration with electrical components.
    • Understanding of electrical safety standards and industry regulations.
    • Hands-on experience building components, Arduino experience, etc.
