Electrical Engineer at Drury Industries

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Engineer located in Lagos.
• The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical systems, overseeing power distributions, and managing the functionality of power systems. Daily tasks include conducting electrical engineering analyses, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and optimizing efficiency within the manufacturing plants.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. 
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, and implement solutions. 
• Ensure proper execution of all needed preventive maintenance for electrical systems. 
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety regulations. 
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise electrical projects, including installations, upgrades, and modifications. 
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources. 
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards. 
• Supervise and manage electrical technicians and other staff members. 
• Provide training, guidance, and support to team members. 
• Evaluate performance and provide feedback. 
• Ensure team members adhere to safety procedures and industry standards. 
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and standards. 
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and policies.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to electrical activities. 
• Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships. 
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering skills
• Knowledge of Electricity and Power Distribution
• Understanding of Power Systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Experience in the chemical industry is a plus
