    Electrical Design Engineer (Panel Business)

    Job Description

    • The Electrical Design Engineer (Panel Business) will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electrical control panels and systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications, safety standards, and business objectives.
    • You will act as a technical partner to internal teams, translating engineering requirements into efficient, cost-effective, and compliant panel solutions that support business growth.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, specifically within panel manufacturing or industrial environments.
    • Proven experience designing electrical panels (MCC, PCC, or similar control panels).
    • Strong proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
    • Solid understanding of electrical systems, protection schemes, and control circuits.
    • Working knowledge of applicable standards (e.g., IEC) and electrical safety regulations.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents accurately.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Design and develop electrical control panels (e.g., LV/MV panels, MCCs, PCCs, distribution boards) in line with project specifications and client requirements.
    • Prepare detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, and panel layouts using relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
    • Interpret technical specifications, tender documents, and BOQs to produce accurate and competitive design solutions.
    • Select and size electrical components (circuit breakers, relays, PLCs, drives, busbars) based on technical and safety requirements.
    • Ensure all designs comply with applicable standards (e.g., IEC) and safety regulations.
    • Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, and Project teams to align technical designs with commercial and project needs.
    • Support production/assembly teams with technical clarifications and resolve design-related issues during manufacturing.
