    Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

    • Electrical Systems: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted power supply to machinery and equipment.
    • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and instrumentation systems, including switches, motors, control panels, and sensors, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
    • Troubleshooting: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical faults (up to 415V) in industrial control panels, motor control centres (MCCs), variable speed drives (VSDs/VFDs), and power distribution systems.
    • Control Systems: Troubleshoot and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) in packaging lines. 
    • Mechanical Interface: Collaborate closely with Mechanical Technicians to address integrated electro-mechanical faults on packaging machines (fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners).
    • Instrumentation: Calibrate, repair, and maintain various instrumentation devices such as sensors, meters, and controllers. Ensure accurate measurement and control of process variables.
    • Calibration: Execute planned calibration of all critical instruments according to established SOPs to ensure the precision required for food safety and quality.
    • Documentation: Maintain detailed, accurate logs of all calibrations, maintenance activities, repairs, and adjustments for audit and compliance purposes (ISO 22000 or HACCP documentation).
    • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to electrical and instrumentation emergencies, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
    • System Integrity: Ensure the integrity and reliable communication of industrial networks (Profibus, Ethernet/IP) connecting the SCADA system to field devices.
    • Safety Adherence: Strictly adhere to all industrial safety procedures, Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, especially when working on live electrical circuits.
