Job Description

• The Economics Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Economics lessons in line with the Nigerian secondary school curriculum, while fostering critical thinking, financial literacy, and excellent academic performance among students.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Economics to Junior and Senior Secondary School students.
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials.
• Deliver engaging and interactive classroom lessons.
• Assess, record, and evaluate students' academic performance regularly.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations (WAEC, NECO, etc.).
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, school activities, and professional development programmes.
• Communicate effectively with school management and parents regarding students' progress when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Education (Economics), or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to use modern teaching methods and educational technology.
• TRCN certification is an added advantage.
• Must be passionate about teaching and student development.
