    E-Commerce Business Development Manager

    • As the ECOMMERCE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER you will be responsible for overseeing all internal business operations
    • You have a growth mindset, and take time to understand the company’s unique vision and mission and you align your efforts with this.
    • You will design and implement the businesses strategies, plans and procedures and set comprehensive goals for overall performance
    • .You will be responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of IT, Marketing, Sales, and Finance. You are an expert in analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
    • You will work alongside the CEO in fundraising entures and actively participate in expansion activities. You are no stranger to an agile startup environment that moves quickly and you are keen to be a part of exciting growth!

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee Finance/ Accounting, IT, Operations, Purchasing and have a deep understanding of an e-commerce organization
    • Identify, develop and implement long and short term strategic direction and plans. Take responsibility for planning and implementing the business strategies, plan, and procedures with clear objectives of company's performance and growth.
    • Prepare and implement annual budget and capital expenditure for the business operations.
    • Initiate and implement an innovative environment and high performance culture to provide competitive edge for the business.
    • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision.
    • Measures effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and finds ways to improve processes.
    • Recruit skilled talent and build the best possible team.
    • Manage the operations team, overall daily operations and ensure that daily targets set and are being met.
    • Provide mentoring to all employees, motivate staff to meet and surpass organisational and revenue goals.
    • Influence the product roadmap, plan with the tech team and coordinate to deliver as per the product roadmap.
    • Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
    • Manage relationships with partners/vendor.
    • At the appropriate time, support in raising capital from external investors to help foster growth To succeed as the business Development Manager, you will need to have an entrepreneurial mindset coupled with strong business acumen.
    • Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance.
    • Ability to be flexible when needed to assist in areas of top importance in an agile startup environment.
    • Assist CEO in fundraising ventures.

    Qualifications

    • At least with 5 years' of executive experience.
    • Strategic planning and business development experience.
    • Solid financial foundation with an understanding of financial statements, business case development, and pricing structures.
    • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and performance/operations metrics.
    • You are an agile leader while also being a proven collaborator and relationship builder, who works well with other leaders and the overall team.
    • Experience leading a similar organization through a period of significant growth and transformation in scaling its operations and in achieving improved efficiencies, processes, and outcomes across a range of key operating metrics.
    • Strong written and verbal and presentation skills
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills
    • BSc/HND in Business Administration or relevant field.
