Job brief

We are looking for an experienced Truck Driver to serve our logistics department in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Transport  raw materials from our suppliers to the office
• Transport finished goods from the office to our customers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Truck Driver
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Willing to submit to background checks and provide employment      recommendations
• Valid professional driver’s license
•  Excellent organizational and time management skill
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
• Vast knowledge of Lagos and Ogun  State routes
