Job Summary:

The Driver is responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation services to employees and officials of the organization. This role involves operating and maintaining company vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations, and contributing to the overall smooth functioning of daily operations.

Job Description

• Safely and efficiently transport company staff to and from designated locations, including meetings, appointments, and events.
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, ensuring it is regularly serviced and in proper working condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
• Plan and organize routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations, considering traffic conditions and alternative routes when necessary.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, providing excellent customer service to staff.
• Ensure staff's safety and security by adopting defensive driving techniques and remaining vigilant throughout the journey.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, fuel consumption, and mileage records, reporting any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate authority.
• Coordinate with staff to manage their daily schedule and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding activities, conversations, and any sensitive information learned during the course of employment.

Job Requirements

• A valid Driver’s License.
• At least 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience driving around Abuja.
• Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of local roads and routes.
• Professional appearance and demeanor, with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and smartphone applications for route planning.
• Ability to adapt to changes in schedules and travel itineraries.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
