Job Description

• We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and experienced Driver to support our logistics operations in Lagos and Port Harcourt.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation and delivery of packages, documents, and other company items while ensuring proper handling of company vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver packages, documents, and other assigned items to designated locations.
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery of packages in line with operational schedules.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and deliveries.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report faults or maintenance needs promptly.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean, safe, and in good working condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
• Handle packages and company property responsibly and securely.
• Assist with loading and unloading packages where required.
• Report delays, accidents, vehicle faults, or other incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
• Use navigation tools such as Google Maps to identify efficient routes.
• Work closely with the Operations and Logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education

• Minimum of an SSCE/WAEC/NECO.
• Defensive driving training or certification is an added advantage.

Experience:

• 2 - 5 years of professional driving experience.
• Previous experience with a logistics, courier, delivery, transportation, or e-commerce company is an added advantage.
• Experience handling multiple deliveries and navigating busy urban routes is preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Nigerian driver's licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
• Must have a good driving record.
• Must be familiar with the routes and major locations within Lagos or Port Harcourt.
• Must be punctual, trustworthy, disciplined, and responsible.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours based on operational requirements.
• Must be willing to travel when required.
• Must demonstrate professionalism and a high level of integrity.
• Must comply with all company safety and operational policies.

Required Skills:

• Excellent driving and vehicle-handling skills.
• Good knowledge of routes within Lagos or Port Harcourt.
• Good knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
• Ability to use Google Maps and other navigation applications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery timelines.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Good customer service skills.
