Driver and Logistics Assistant at a Women-Focused NGO

A women-focused NGO is currently recruiting for the position of Driver & Logistics Assistant, who will provide logistics support to on-going projects.

• Provides transport assistance to staff and/or consultants involved in project delivery activities;
• Provides clear and timely communication regarding transport arrangements and any changes to transport users;
• Raises advances relating to journeys and departures according to agreed time standards;
• Undertakes logistical support to designated workshops, meetings, and events;
• Ensures vehicles are serviced in line with the service schedule, that periodic routine vehicle checks are made, and that defects and damage are reported promptly;
• Undertakes daily internal and external maintenance checks on all program vehicles to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy before the start of any journey and that vehicles are clean and refueled regularly;
• Maintains vehicle logbooks, journey, and fuel records
• Undertakes routine mail dispatch service as may be required
• Assists in meeting preparation, including the physical setting-up of meeting rooms;
• Assists with the different inventories required by the office
• Carries out other duties and responsibilities as related to the post that may be assigned from time to time.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of First School Leaving Certificate
• Good understanding of defensive driving practices.
• Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in driver services and demonstrate a consistent record of safe driving.
• A valid driving license is essential
• Knowledge of road networks in Benue State and environs.
• Experience of working in NGO an added advantage.
• There is no provision for relocation allowance, as candidates are expected to reside in Benue State.
