A construction firm is seeking a skilled Draftsman to join the team. The successful candidate will utilize AutoCAD software to develop precise shop drawings for electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. This role involves close collaboration with MEP teams and site personnel to produce detailed and comprehensive drawings.

Responsibilities:

1. Create shop drawings using AutoCAD for electrical systems, including lighting, power, and ELV systems.
2. Work with MEP teams to produce composite drawings, integrating details and sections seamlessly.
3. Engage with site teams to ensure drawings are accurate and align with project requirements.
4. Perform site visits to gather necessary information and enhance understanding of project specifics.
5. Continuously review and update drawings based on feedback, design changes, or project modifications.
6. Collaborate closely with supervisors to clarify design goals, resolve technical issues, and incorporate feedback effectively.

Qualifications:

1. HND/BSc in Building Engineering Technology or a related field.
2. 4-5 years of drafting experience, proficient in AutoCAD 2D, 3D, Revit BIM, and Dynamo
3. Experience in electrical and mechanical designs in buildings.
4. Strong technical drawing and blueprint reading abilities
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective collaboration with teams and clients
6. Strong organizational abilities, crucial for managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines
7. In-depth understanding of construction processes and familiarity with relevant legal issues in the construction industry.
8. Effective presentation skills, with the ability to clearly and confidently present ideas in front of clients, teams, and stakeholders.

Salary Band: 250,000NGN monthly Net
