Documentation Executive (Freight Forwarding) at Dreams Placement Hub

JOB REQUIREMENT:

• Applicant must know and understand the dynamics of import and export documentation; regulatory agencies and experience in dealing with shipping companies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
• Minimum of HND/BS.C
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in import & export documentation - mandatory

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENT:

• Familiar with Customs HS Codes and duty calculations
• Familiar with shipping lines and terminals processes
• Familiar with regulatory agencies for import and export handling
• Understands the dynamics of shipping as well as related shipping incoterms
• Can handle shipment clearance processes from end to end.
• Familiar with Nigerian Single window trade.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Opening and update of shipping files, both import and export
• Ensuring that all shipping documents are ready for clearing
• Ensuring right documentations are in place for all import and export shipments
• Familiarity with and staying abreast of all relevant documentations, local import regulations and restrictions applicable to Nigeria.
• Proactively handling all issues that could arise on a job’s documentation process and keep the customer informed of development and educated of requirements so as to proactively make decisions guiding their shipment
