    Director General

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and oversee all academic, research and related programs for the school.
    • Attracting and retaining a steady pool of good Human Capital made up of high quality teaching.
    • Lead discussions that direct the development of the school and continuous improvement.
    • The DG will partner with the necessary stakeholders of the university to build and strengthen the institute’s commitment to the highest level of graduate programs.
    • Work with and report to the Board in implementing strong governance, functional and effective organogram to quickly achieve and sustain the school aspiration
    • Generate regular reports about the school performance subject to set target by the Governing Council.
    • Attract grants from donor agencies, parties and other funding to support existing funding with the aim of achieving financial independence from the seed capital funding within 2 years of establishment.
    • Interview and recruit teachers for appropriate departments.
    • Work with Academic Coordinator to select student and teacher of the month awards.
    • Plan faculty meetings, orientations, trainings and workshops.
    • Support and participate in college and community related activities.
    • Plan budget, schedule and resources for college and community related activities.
    • Coordinate with other Academic Department Directors in sharing faculty and other educational and instructional ideas.
    • Develop educational process and policies to meet curriculum goals.
    • Provide training to faculty on latest instructional technology and technique.
    • Develop unique and interactive educational programs and courses for students.
    • Manage faculty resources, administrative staffs and other college resources.
    • Develop and implement faculty development programs.
    • Develop and implement academic enhancement programs for students.
    • Schedule regular meetings with college staffs and faculty staffs.
    • Assist in preparing students’ report cards and attendance records.
    • Order and stock books and other school supplies as needed.

    Educational Qualification and Requirements

    • PHD in any of the following disciplines;
      • Political Science
      • Public Admin
      • Sociology
    • A Master’s degree in Education or any of the following disciplines;
    • At least fifteen 15 years track record in the academia 5 of which shall be in as Dean at the minimum
    • A self-starter, resourceful with proven track record in establishing similar institutions.
    • Age- preferably under 55 years old.
