Summary:

• We are looking for a creative, meticulous writer to join our digital magazine.
• As a writer, you will be required to create texts based articles on assigned material and subject matter, and also conduct your own research.
• You should be able to adhere to prescribed editorial guidelines without sacrificing creativity. You should have outstanding writing, editing, and research skills to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Content Editor and other editors in crafting original and well-researched articles across our digital platforms.
• Adhering to stipulated editorial guidelines.
• Create storylines and produce innovative story ideas that align with the brand’s core values and appeal to our target audience.
• Write interviews, opinion pieces, and news stories for the website that meet the global standard.
• Liaising with Editors and other departments ensures that your content attracts maximum reader engagement
• Pitching new content ideas that further the company's objectives.

Requirements

• A portfolio and track record that embodies the values of Marie Claire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field.
• Proven work experience as a writer.
• Possess a keen sense of storytelling, as well as strong analytical skills.
• Deep interest in the women's media industry and its trends.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an excellent portfolio.
• In-depth knowledge of SEO and social media best practices.
• Ample knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
