Job Summary

• As an DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the reliability, scalability, and performance of our application infrastructure. Your expertise in infrastructure management, automation, and continuous improvement will contribute to the seamless operation of our platform.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Manage and monitor the application's infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud services, to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. 
• Monitoring and Alerting: Implement monitoring solutions to track the health and performance of the infrastructure. Configure alerts to proactively identify and address potential issues. 
• Security: Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices for infrastructure security, including access controls, encryption, vulnerability assessments, and compliance. 
• Incident Response: Participate in incident response efforts by quickly identifying root causes, implementing temporary fixes, and collaborating with development teams to deploy permanent solutions. 
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Support the automation of build, test, and deployment pipelines to enable frequent and reliable software releases. 
• Capacity Planning: Work with capacity planning teams to anticipate infrastructure needs based on application usage trends and growth projections. 
• Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures. 
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing. 
• Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities for infrastructure optimization, performance tuning, and cost reduction in cloud environments. 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field. 
• Minimum of Four (4) years relevant post-qualification experience 
• Master's degree or relevant professional certificate e.g CISA, CCNP, CCNA etc is an added advantage. 
• Proficiency in managing and maintaining the application's infrastructure components, including servers (both physical and virtual), networks, databases, and Azure cloud services.
•  Experience with configuration, provisioning, and monitoring of these resources within the Azure environment. 
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and the ability to implement monitoring solutions to track the health, performance, and availability of infrastructure components in Azure. 
• Familiarity with infrastructure security best practices within Azure, including access controls, encryption, vulnerability assessments, and compliance specific to the Azure platform. 
• Experience in incident response procedures, including the ability to quickly identify root causes of infrastructure incidents within Azure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) to support the automation of build, test, and deployment processes in Azure. 
• Proficiency in facilitating frequent and reliable software releases within the Azure environment. 
• Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining backup and disaster recovery plans within Azure to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures or data loss. 
• Strong documentation skills to maintain detailed records of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures within Azure.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities for infrastructure optimization, performance tuning, and cost reduction within the Azure cloud environment.
