DevOPS Engineer at Revent Technologies Limited

• The DevOPS Engineer will be a key member of our team, supporting the design, deployment and testing of Solutions deployed into our Applications Platform in the Cloud.
• Some of the key responsibilities for the DevOps Engineer include.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software development pipelines and establish CI/CD practices
• Planning and execution of DevOps activities in line with defined processes and methodology
• Ensure effective deployments and support of solutions through the CI/CD lifecycle using relevant tooling i.e. Azure DevOps
• Continuous maturity of the DevSecOps practices within the zone
• Innovate constantly and stay current with latest technologies while staying focused on solving data and software problems at hand.

Requirements

• Technical degree i.e., in Computer Science or relevant experience
• Experience with popular programming and scripting languages i.e. ASP.NET, Python, Node.Js, Ruby, YAML, JSON
• At least 2 years developing software applications or working within a team delivering enterprise applications.
• Experience with automation/configuration management i.e., Terraforms, Puppet, Chef or equivalent
• Ability to build and implement continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) environments using relevant tooling
• Deep Understanding of microservice architecture (Docker, Kubernetes/mesosphere)
• Background in Linux and Windows Administration
• Experience with Databases and SQL
• Deep understanding of open-source technologies and cloud
• Ability to engage and collaborate with distributed teams across time-zones to solve problems collaboratively

Preferred

• 3 + years of experience working as a DevOPs Engineer with in-depth experience in Azure (preferred) or AWS
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain code repositories using popular Source Code Management/VCS Tooling i.e. Azure DevOPS/GitHub or related tooling
• Appreciation and Understanding of Security and Secure Coding Practices across the DevSecOPS Lifecycle
• Ability to troubleshooting network services and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, AD, LDAP, SSH, SMTP, SSL, HTTP
• Experience and understanding of popular Web Technologies and concepts i.e. APIs, Microservices and containers, DevOPS CI/CD Tools
• Open minded, innovative mindset, fast learner with Strong Leadership and Communication skills is essential
