Job Summary

Functions & Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day oversight of development communications retainers.
• Translate program strategy into structured communications architecture.
• Draft high-quality strategy documents, reports, and frameworks.
• Align communications outputs with the theory of change and donor expectations.
• Support proposal development and institutional growth.
• Standardise documentation processes within IMPACT.
• Contribute to long-term strategic positioning.
• Develop and manage the production of external-facing communications materials.
• Advise program teams on effective communication approaches for various stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of development communications activities.
• Coordinate with teams to ensure accurate representation of program results.
• Build the capacity of internal teams in development communications best practices.
• Oversee branding and compliance for projects.

Requirements

• 6–9 years’ experience in development communications, consulting, or institutional advisory.
• Experience working with foundations, donor-funded programs, multilaterals, or DFIs.
• Strong structured writing ability (strategy documents, not just campaign content).
• Strong structured writing ability, particularly for strategy documents and frameworks (not just campaign content).
• Familiarity with impact reporting and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)concepts.
• Commercial awareness and scope discipline.
• Professional maturity and confidence in senior stakeholder environments.
