Design & Structural Engineer at Dutum Company Limited

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in C'vil/structural Engineer•ng Or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years' proven post-graduation experience in structural analysis and design consultancy or contractor design team.
• COREN certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge Of structural engineering principles, building codes (such as 8s 8110, Eurocode 2, ACI 318 and
• Nigerian building codes), and construction standards. proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, Tekla, Prota Structures, Prokon, AutoCAD,
• Revit, or similar applications.
• Experience in the design Of reinforced concrete, steel, and other structural systems, multistorey buildings, shallow and deep foundations based on geotechnical reports.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• Must reside in Lagos State, with candidates living on the Island axis or in close proximity to the Island strongly preterred_

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop engineering solutions for various construction projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, analysis models, and issue
• GA drawings, reinforcement details, schedules, reports and other required drawings and documents.
• Design basement walls, slabs, W'aterproofng details, and excavation support systems.
• Ensure all designs comply With BS 8110, Eurocode 2, ACI 318 and Nigerian building codes.
• Conduct structural analysis and design calculations to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with relevant standards.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to resolve design clashes and site queries/RFIs and deliver project objectives.
• Carry out site inspections and provide technical support during project execution.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable regulatory and safety requirements.
• Submit designs for internal review and client/consultant approval at each Stage gate.
• Review and optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and constructability.
