Description

• A Mechanical Design Engineer who would be responsible for creating, developing, and improving mechanical systems, components, and products.
• Their role combines engineering principles, design creativity, and technical knowledge to ensure functionality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Product & Component Design:

• Develop and design mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Translate requirements and ideas into technical drawings and 3D models.

Engineering Analysis:

• Perform calculations and simulations (stress, strain, heat transfer, fluid flow, fatigue, vibration).
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes.

Collaboration & Project Work:

• Work with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, electrical, software, procurement) to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
• Support production teams in solving technical issues.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety codes.
• Prepare design documentation, reports, and user manuals.

Requirements

• Academic Qualifications: B.Eng Degree / HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo).
• Strong grasp of engineering principles (mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC, casting, molding, 3D printing).
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Project management and teamwork abilities.
