Job Summary:

We are a reputable engineering, procurement, and construction company providing end-to-end solutions across the upstream and downstream oil & gas value chain, seeking an experienced Design Draftsman to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mechanical and piping drafting, with the ability to support construction, instrumentation, and civil drawings when required. The role requires a technically sound professional capable of translating engineering concepts into accurate and detailed drawings for oil & gas facilities, pipelines, flow stations, and industrial plants. The successful candidate will support engineering design and project execution teams by producing high-quality CAD drawings, layouts, and technical documentation in line with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical, piping, and construction works.
• Develop and update P&IDs, piping layouts, piping isometrics, equipment layouts, and general arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations to produce accurate technical drawings.
• Assist engineers in preparing design documentation and drawing packages for oil & gas facilities and industrial projects.
• Produce fabrication drawings and shop drawings to support procurement and construction teams.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings based on site redline markups and project revisions.
• Coordinate drawings with mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure design consistency.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, and document control procedures.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable engineering standards.
• Support engineering teams during design reviews and project coordination meetings.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Design Draftsman in Oil & Gas, EPC, or industrial construction projects.
• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional certification in CAD or drafting software is an added advantage.
• Strong experience in preparing mechanical and piping drawings, including P&IDs, piping isometrics, equipment layouts, and plant layout drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software such as Plant 3D, PDMS/E3D, or similar tools.
• Experience in 3D plant modeling and layout development for industrial or oil & gas facilities.
• Familiarity with oil & gas engineering standards, codes, and EPC project documentation systems.
• Experience supporting flow station upgrades, pipeline projects, plant construction, or fabrication yard activities.
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and civil drawings is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret engineering designs, technical specifications, and construction drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and construction teams.
