Deputy Production Manager at CWAY Foods and Beverages Nigeria

Description

We are a leading company in the Food and water industry and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Production Manager to join our team. This is a key role within our organization, responsible for overseeing and managing our production operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of our products to market. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role within the Food & Beverages industry and will possess excellent leadership and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Production Manager to develop and implement production plans and strategies
• Oversee the day-to-day production activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules
• Manage and optimize production processes to increase efficiency and productivity
• Coordinate and supervise production staff, providing guidance and support as needed
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment and machinery are in good working condition
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement team to ensure availability of raw materials and supplies
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Quality Assurance and Logistics, to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Prepare and maintain production reports and records
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Must be resident in Abuja
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field, desireable
• Proven experience in a similar role within the Food & Beverages industry, desireable
• Strong knowledge of food production processes and quality standards
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using production management software and tools
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends, as needed
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks accordingly
