    Deputy Head, Brand and Communications

    Job Objective(s)

    • Has the responsibility of managing the Bank's brand representation, perception and positioning to potential customers as well as instituting initiatives that enhance top of mind share, in the process of growing brand equity, loyalty; and positioning the Brand as that of first choice amongst its competitors.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership, lead and transform the Bank’s brand management function.
    • Develop, manage and drive the following strategic deliverables: Brand marketing and brand alignment, Advertising, Creative Design, Digital Marketing and the performance of the branding team.
    • Develop a bank-wide communication cycle plan for the year to ensure effective and optimal visibility and brand representation across all customer touch-points for master brand and products.
    • Manage advertising agency relations, master brand and product marketing for the Bank, and institute brand improvement initiatives
    • Manage the Bank’s creative team and creative agencies that conceptualize and design visuals of all products & services. Usually entails negotiation and deliberation for both above and below the line (ATL & BTL) concepts for the Bank.
    • Supervise the Brand alignment team, which is responsible for consistency of the brand’s visual identity across all stakeholder touch points. This entails the execution of various brand audits by the team
    • Deliver strategic communication solutions that will help the bank’s SBUs attain their marketing and communications objectives e.g Retail Banking, Managed SMEs, e-Banking, Corporate & Private Banking etc.
    • Coordinate and assess the branding of products, service marketing strategies and corporate brand enhancement initiatives presented by the Bank’s SBUs and advertising agencies before execution.
    • Oversee the production of TV commercials, radio, newspaper and magazine advertisements, direct mail, email campaigns, websites, exhibition stands, road shows and liaising with creative designers, copywriters, media buyers and printers to conceptualize creative content for the Bank
    • Manage the sign-off of marketing literature and campaigns, liaising with relevant stakeholders, as well as ensuring the designs and messages meet brand and regulatory guidelines
    • Adopt a research focused approach in monitoring brand performance and consumer reactions to marketing communications efforts; generating management reports on brand health/ranking in relation to competition
    • Manage brand investments within the digital marketing space (online social media), a dynamic touchpoint that is being tagged as the next frontier for financial institutions in emerging market economies.
    • Conceptualize, manage and execute staff brand engagement initiatives to ensure internal acculturation and adoption of the brand philosophy
    • Other assignments as advised by MD/CEO

    Qualification

    • Candidates should possess Bachelor's degree
    • Must have 15-31 years work experience.
