Deployment Specialist (Cloud Infrastructure and Workspace) at Descasio - Nigeria

Job Overview:

• We are seeking a skilled Deployment Specialist to join our Tech Services team at Descasio. This role involves architecting, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure for both Descasio customers and our internal operations.
• The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in Microsoft Azure, with additional knowledge in AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The Deployment specialist will also deploy and manage cloud workspaces such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 (M365).

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Deployment & Management:

• Architect, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on
• Microsoft Azure, with secondary support for AWS and GCP environments.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and ensure high availability, security, and disaster recovery solutions are in place.

Internal & Customer Support:

• Provide technical support for escalated customer cloud infrastructure complaints and
• Descasio’s internal cloud infrastructure, ensuring infrastructure aligns with business needs.

Workspace Deployment & Management:

• Implement and support customer cloud workspace projects [M365, GWS].

Documentation & Reporting:

• Create detailed documentation of architecture designs, deployment procedures, and operational processes.
• Ensure up to date project and activity documentation and reporting in assigned shared folder.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and cloud platform updates to recommend improvements to existing infrastructure.
• Optimize cloud and workspace services for cost-efficiency and performance.

Key Requirements

Experience & Skills:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including infrastructure deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge and experience with AWS and GCP cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls.
• Knowledge of on-premises network IT infrastructure (e.g., servers, storage, firewalls, switches) and experience managing hybrid environments is an added advantage.
• Solid understanding of networking, virtualization, storage, and compute services in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Certifications in Microsoft Azure (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly preferred.
• Additional certifications in AWS and GCP are a plus.
