Data Management and Support Officer at Nigerian British University

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years in data management & data analytics.

Certification:

• Certified Data Manager (CDM) or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), or equivalent preferred.

Description:

• NBU is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Manager to join our Information and Computer Technology (ICT) department.
• As a Data Management & Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing data management and technical support services to ensure the effective use of data and information

systems within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Management: Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data management policies, procedures, and standards.
• Data Quality: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency by performing data validation, data cleansing, and data normalization tasks.
• Data Analysis: Provide basic data analysis and reporting services to support business decision-making.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to users on data management systems, tools, and processes.
• System Administration: Assist in the administration of data management systems, including user management, data backups, and system updates.
• Data Governance: Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in data management, data analysis, or a related field.
• Strong technical skills in data management systems, tools, and technologies, such as databases, data warehouses, and data visualization tools.
• Programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL
• Certified Data Manager (CDM) or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), or equivalent preferred.
• Basic data analysis and reporting skills, including data visualization and statistical analysis..
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
