This role is responsible for collecting, interpreting, and transforming raw data into actionable insights that inform operational and strategic decisions across the organization.
It requires a high level of analytical thinking, statistical proficiency, and a strong understanding of industry-specific metrics and business intelligence tools.
Key Responsibilities
Extract, cleanse, and validate data from multiple sources including production reports, financial systems, drilling logs, and inventory records. Ensure accuracy and consistency across all datasets.
Perform statistical analyses to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies within operational data. Deliver high-quality reports and executive dashboards that guide performance improvement initiatives.
Translate complex data into compelling visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel. Prepare concise, insight-driven presentations tailored to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain—to align analytics with core business goals and identify opportunities for data-driven enhancements.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of data assets. Adhere to regulatory standards and internal data governance policies, ensuring clean, accurate, and reliable datasets at all times.
Required Qualifications & Skills
B.Sc / HND in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
1 – 2 years of proven experience in data analytics or business intelligence.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, Pivot Tables, macros), SQL, and at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Strong numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey analytical insights clearly.
