Cybersecurity Facilitator at Revenstrat Integrated Services

Key Responsibilities

• Develop curriculum covering fundamental and advanced cybersecurity concepts.
• Facilitate interactive training sessions on network security, ethical hacking, and threat detection.
• Design practical exercises and simulations to reinforce security principles.
• Mentor participants through security challenges and certification preparation.
• Evaluate participant progress and provide targeted feedback.
• Stay current with emerging cyber threats, defense strategies, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with the tech education team to integrate security across all programs.
• Support participants in developing practical security projects and solutions.
• Create awareness about cyber safety within local communities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in cyber security roles.
• Industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of security frameworks, threat modeling, and risk assessment.
• Experience with security tools, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
• Previous teaching or training experience in technical subjects.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Commitment to ethical security practices and responsible disclosure.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in cloud security and secure DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.
• Background in incident response and forensics.
• Experience working with diverse communities, particularly youth and women.
• Understanding of the unique cyber security challenges in African contexts.
