The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Canary Point Finance by ensuring effective financial reporting, planning, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial controls. The role supports sound financial decision-making and helps maintain the financial integrity of Canary Point Finance while enabling effective resource management and the achievement of its strategic and business objectives. The role requires strong financial management, analytical, and reporting skills, as well as a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and applicable regulatory requirements. The Finance Manager collaborates with management and relevant business functions to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective financial planning, informed decision-making, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Job Details
Oversee the Company’s financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and financial planning.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
Coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor performance against approved budgets.
Ensure effective financial controls, proper accounting records, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide financial insights and analysis to support management decision-making and business strategy.
Manage tax, statutory, audit, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Monitor revenue, expenses, and financial risks, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
Liaise with auditors, regulators, banks, and other external stakeholders on financial matters.
Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and resolution of identified discrepancies.
Support strategic initiatives, business planning, and financial evaluation of new opportunities.
Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring effective performance and adherence to established processes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting, or financial reporting within a bank or financial institution.
Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial control.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, financial statement analysis, and applicable accounting standards.
Knowledge of tax regulations, statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements for financial institutions.
Proficiency in financial management systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel
