Creative Designer at OnePyramid

Job Summary:

• Our Client is seeking a highly creative and technologically adept Creative Designer to join our marketing team in Lagos.
• The Creative Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing visually compelling content across various platforms, significantly leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency and innovation.
• This role requires a strong eye for aesthetics, proficiency in traditional and AI-driven design software, and the ability to translate marketing strategies into impactful visual narratives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Concept Development:

• Conceptualize and develop original visual designs for a variety of media, including digital (social media graphics, website banners, email campaigns, online ads), print (brochures, flyers, promotional materials), and multimedia content.
• Utilize and experiment with generative AI tools (e.g Midjourney, DALL-E, Adobe Firefly) to rapidly ideate, generate initial concepts, and create unique visual elements, enhancing the speed and diversity of creative outputs.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and other team members to understand project requirements, campaign goals, and target audiences.
• Translate creative briefs into innovative and effective design solutions that align with the client’s brand guidelines and client objectives.

Visual Content Creation:

• Produce high-quality graphic content, including logos, illustrations, infographics, layouts, and other branding assets.
• Create dynamic motion graphics and short video content for social media and other digital platforms, potentially leveraging AI-powered video editing and animation features for enhanced efficiency and effects.
• Apply AI-driven image enhancement and upscaling tools (e.g., Let's Enhance) to optimize visual quality for various outputs. Ensure all creative outputs maintain brand consistency in visuals, messaging, and tone across different platforms.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with the Marketing, Content, and Sales teams to create cohesive and integrated campaigns.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively and iteratively to refine designs.
• Participate actively in brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh ideas and creative solutions, potentially using AI for concept generation and exploration.

Trend Research & Innovation:

• Stay updated with the latest design trends, traditional design software advancements, and cutting-edge AI tools and methodologies in graphic design, motion graphics, and visual content creation.
• Proactively identify opportunities to innovate and enhance the client’s visual communication strategies through the strategic adoption of new technologies.

Asset Management & Optimization:

• Organize and manage digital assets, design files, and project documentation to ensure easy accessibility and proper archiving for future reference.
• Utilize AI-powered asset tagging and organization features within content management systems (if applicable) to streamline workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Creative Designer or Graphic
• Designer, preferably within a media, marketing, or advertising agency.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, including digital content, print materials, branding, and motion graphics.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
• Demonstrable experience with and understanding of AI-powered design tools, including but not limited to:
• Generative AI tools: Midjourney, DALL-E, Adobe Firefly.
• Design platforms with AI features: Canva (Magic Studio features), Visme.
• AI-driven image enhancement/editing: Let's Enhance, Photoshop's generative fill features.
• Understanding of prompt engineering for AI image generation.
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and tools like Figma is a plus.
• Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
• Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and a team player.
• Residing in Lagos, Nigeria, with the ability to work in a hybrid environment (partly in-office, partly remote).
