Crane Operator at African Industries Group (AIG)

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, including mobile cranes, tower cranes, and overhead cranes, to move materials and equipment.
• Load and unload cargo, equipment, and personnel.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on cranes and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Communicate with ground crew and other operators to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, including load charts and maintenance logs.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess relevant qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating cranes in a mining or construction environment.
• Valid crane operator license or certification (e.g., NEST/COREN) will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of crane operations, safety procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to pass a medical examination.
