The Coverage Associate is responsible for supporting the institutional sales function by managing client/investor relationships and manage the distribution of capital market instruments and transaction offerings to institutional clients, including pension funds, asset managers, insurance companies, trustees, and corporates.
Responsibilities
Build and manage relationships with key decision makers across the various investor groups such as Fund Managers, Trustees, Insurers, Corporates, etc.
Develop relationships with local and international investors (private capital investors, venture capital funds, development finance institutions, pension funds, asset managers, strategic investors etc.) to ensure success of various transaction types.
Manage strong pipeline of institutional investors and HNIs.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and transaction information to clients.
Coordinate client meetings, roadshows, and follow-ups to ensure effective engagement.
Provide market intelligence and client feedback to execution teams.
Support the Managing Director to monitor project activities and transaction execution on a day-to-day basis.
Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and ethical sales practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ professional experience; experience in institutional sales, relationship management or business development in financial services is preferred within asset management, investment banking, or capital markets is highly preferred.
Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, ACS, CFA, CAIA would also be beneficial.
Must be a SEC Sponsored Individual.
Must have demonstrated ability to create sales/relationship opportunities with clients and prospects.
Excellent relationship management and business development skills.
Knowledgeable about Capital Markets, the Economy and general financial markets as well as investment products such as Bonds, Commercial paper, Private notes and Equities.
Strong presentation, negotiation, and excellent communication abilities.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial and market data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tool.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
Adaptable and able to perform in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
