Cost Controller at WTS Energy

Job Summary

• Our client is seeking a Cost Controller to manage all budget and cost control activities for the IMA Project.
• The role involves implementing cost control structures, procedures, and tools, preparing and analyzing project cost information, and liaising with project package managers and the finance department.
• Reporting to the Project Control Manager, the Cost Controller ensures strict confidentiality and adherence to HSSE rules.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Cost Control structure, procedures, and tools (UNISUP and U-Cost) for the IMA Project.
• Prepare, analyze, and present all project cost information and documentation.
• Liaise with Project Package Managers and the Finance Department on cost control and accounting matters.
• Participate in the preparation and review of project budgets and updates, providing ad hoc economic support.
• Verify and approve invoices in accordance with contracts, procedures, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and Delegation of Authority.
• Input payment schedules, invoicing, and cost control data into the UNISUP system.
• Prepare project cost reports for management, subsidiaries, partners, and shareholders.
• Assess contract variations, identify cost trends and variances, and maintain the Final Cost Estimate.
• Ensure strict confidentiality of all budget and cost documentation.
• Report progress and concerns to the Project Control Manager and gather lessons learned.

Requirements
Required:

• BSc in Accounting or a Finance equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar cost control position.
• Proficiency in SAP and Sage v12.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Excellent command of English.
• Demonstrated commitment to HSSE rules and confidentiality.

Preferred:

• 5-15 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience with UNISUP and U-Cost systems.
• Experience in project cost control on large-scale E&P projects.
