• Customer Consultation: Understanding customers’ skincare, haircare, and beauty needs and providing appropriate product recommendations.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain strong knowledge of skincare, cosmetic, personal care, and beauty products stocked in the pharmacy.
• Customer Education: Educating customers on proper product usage, skincare routines, precautions, and expected outcomes.
• Sales & Product Support: Supporting sales through effective product recommendations, cross-selling, and excellent customer service.
• Inventory & Merchandising: Supporting proper arrangement, monitoring and presentation of skincare and cosmetic products.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Consultation & Skincare Support

• Conduct basic customer consultations to understand skincare concerns, preferences, and beauty needs.
• Recommend suitable skincare, cosmetic, and personal care products based on customers’ needs.
• Educate customers on appropriate skincare routines and correct product application.
• Provide guidance on the use of cosmetic products while staying within professional scope.

Product Knowledge & Pharmacy Support:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of skincare, cosmetics, haircare, and personal care products available in the pharmacy.
• Explain product ingredients, benefits, directions for use, and precautions to customers.
• Stay informed about new beauty and skincare products introduced into the pharmacy.
• Assist in receiving, arranging, labeling, and displaying cosmetic and skincare products.
• Monitor product availability and report low-stock or fast-moving products to the Pharmacy Operations Lead.

Sales & Customer Experience:

• Support the achievement of sales targets for skincare, cosmetics, and wellness products.
• Identify opportunities for appropriate cross-selling and upselling based on customer needs.
• Follow up with customers where required to gather feedback on products and overall service experience.
• Handle customer questions and complaints professionally and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.

Hygiene, Safety & Compliance:

• Maintain a clean, hygienic, and professional consultation and product display area.
• Ensure cosmetic testers and tools are handled and maintained hygienically.
• Observe pharmacy policies and procedures relating to customer safety, product handling, and confidentiality.
• Avoid making medical diagnoses or recommending prescription medication outside the scope of the role.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of customer consultations and relevant product recommendations where required.
• Track customer feedback and frequently requested skincare or cosmetic products.
• Assist in preparing basic sales and product performance reports.
• Support promotional activities, product launches, and in-store beauty campaigns.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and other pharmacy activities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cosmetology, Beauty Therapy, Esthetics, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certification in cosmetology, skincare, or beauty therapy is an advantage.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of skincare products, cosmetic ingredients, and beauty routines.
• Experience in customer consultation and retail sales is an added advantage.
