Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by following food safety and sanitation procedures
• Support inventory management, including receiving deliveries, checking stock levels, and rotating food supplies
• Collaborate with team to plan menus that meet dietary requirements and student preferences
• Engage with students in a positive manner, promoting healthy eating habits and culinary education
• Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and keep up with food safety regulations
• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and nutritional guidelines

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an SSCE / GCE / NECO / OND qualification with 2-10 years work experience.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety
• Ability to cook delicious and variety of meals
• Ability to handle large cooking of 150- 200 people plus daily
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in using kitchen equipment such as Gas, ovens, stoves, and food processors
• Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and portion control
