About the job:

Interested candidate must be able to prepare delicious local and continental meals. He/she must able to prepare Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and part of West African dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.

Responsibilities:

• Measuring out meal ingredients according to a recipe.
• Prepping various ingredients such as protein, vegetables and others. 
• Collaborating with the Executive Chef and other Cooks to prepare other meals. 
• Cleaning up the kitchen space after cooking each meal and ensuring the preparation area and kitchen is cleaned and sanitised at the end of the shift.
• Maintaining a pantry stock record.
• Restocking the pantry and fridge or freezer as necessary
• Properly storing food items at appropriate temperatures
• Ordering new ingredients as required

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION:

• At least Disploma in catering services
• In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques in west Africa and Nigeria
• Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Working knowledge of mathematical principles such as ratios and proportions
• Good dexterity
• Excellent communication skills
