Controller: Transport Operations (Execution) at DP World

Job Function

• This role involves checking, processing orders, and ensuring the timely delivery of products, supporting supply chain processes, and organizing deliveries. Key responsibilities include reviewing and processing orders, coordinating with various stakeholders to facilitate timely deliveries, and preparing and reviewing relevant documents. Additionally, the role involves following up on inquiries and ensuring that delivery commitments are met.

Key Performance Areas:

OTIF

• Responsible for the effective and smooth deliveries of the distribution services on time and in full.

Delivery Tracking

• Supervision and close tracking of delivery officers and assigned operations vehicles to ensure smooth delivery operations to achieve the client’s expectations and the business objectives.
• Assured trip visibility to all stakeholders by sustained Daily Trip Status Reporting
• Upholds excellent Fleet management practices

Fleet Maintenance

• Supervision of the adequate and accurate routine maintenance (schedule) of all operations vehicles and efficient management of company vehicle assets.

Fuel Management

• Issue and monitoring the fuel usage and efficiency of assigned fleet such that they are within the budgeted cost

Driver Management

• Regular toolbox meetings regarding safety, schedules, routes, and other important delivery information.
• Schedule Training: to improve drivers and team performance

SSHEQ

• Shall promote a culture of safety and align with MDS HSEQ policy and guidelines

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum HND/BSc in any field

Experience and Skills Required:

• Minimum of 2-5 years in similar field
• Knowledge of inventory and stock handling
• Well experienced at freight transport and or dispatch operations
• Well experience in both Long Haul and Short Haul Operations
• Trip expense and fuel management
